Cricket: South African Women in England
England bounced back from their very recent defeat at the hands of South Africa at Worcester, to notch up a resounding win over the women's team today by 69 runs.
Just three days ago, doom and gloom was predicted as England's women were thrashed by Proteas women to the tune of 7 wickets. There were dire predictions of an England collapse, even a whitewash in the three ODI series. Pundits reached for their pens (and other more modern writing implements) to predict that the current World Cup holders would be humiliated.
Tammy Beaumont and Sarah Taylor both came back to produce stunning centuries with the bat and Ecclestone and Brunt responded beautifully with the ball and five wickets between them to trounce the visitors in a resounding display at Hove.
This was an outstanding display from England causing doubters to wind collective necks back in and the final, three days away, at Canterbury on the 15th, is going to be a great match to watch. If you can, go see it.
Prediction: England win by 50 runs or 3 wickets. Weather seems set to be warm and overcast, so expect seaming balls when the ball is new. Spin may come into play in later overs of the 2nd innings.

If I was a betting man, I'd put a fiver on an England series win.
