A 20-year-old mother from Arizona is facing murder charges after authorities discovered both of her young children dead inside a vehicle, police said.
Officers from the Pinal County Sheriff’s office around 11:15 p.m. on Monday responded to a Superior home, where they discovered the bodies of a 2-year-old boy and a 10-month-old girl strapped into car seats, Pinal County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Navideh Forghani said in a statement.
Brittany Velasquez has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder after her 2-year-old son and 10-month-old daughter were found dead inside a vehicle in Superior, Ariz.

The sheriff’s office noted “evidence on the scene indicated foul-play,” prompting them to arrest the victims’ mother, Brittany Velasquez.
Officials have not yet revealed a cause of death, but they have charged Velasquez with two counts of murder.
Autopsies will be conducted on both children, who were not identified by authorities.
