Critical points of the film
Although it had nothing to do with reality, it made a historical reference. The founder and leader of the Sandinist front died long before the events.
The film tells that he was not actually dead and was shown dead by the regime; our heroes were taking pictures of Fonseca and chasing people to prove it. When the effect of the photograph is too great, the Somoza regime captures Alex Grazier and kills him; Russell was photographing the murder of his friend, documenting the murder, causing the regime to lose prestige. The United States cut the aid to the Somoza regime, the Sandinists entered victoriously into Managua, and the dictator escaped.

The fact that the film was shot in the Oaxaca and Chiapas regions of Mexico, which will be the scene of rebellions, was another interesting situation that was not in the account. The script was based on a real story.

On June 20, 1979, Bill Steward of the American ABC television was killed by Somozist guards and the moment of the murder was recorded. That evening, American televisions showed the footage, and the government stopped helping the collapsing regime.
