We have successfully come to the end of crochet course in season 20 engagement challenge. I'm really grateful that I followed this course from week one to this week 6.

In this week classes, I have learnt how to create a beautiful border on different garment like paint, hand or face or kitchen towels, pants, shirts and lot more. I also learned how to make a double rose and a single rose.🌹

After reading and watching my instructor video post again and again, I decided to practice the work on my old garments before carrying out my homework task. The essence of this practice before homework task is to help me get acquainted with my work and I appreciate that👏🏻. Now I welcome you all to my task work here below 👇.

Create a border on the garment of your choice, whether it's a handkerchief, scarf, shirt, pants, etc. Support your task with videos, a photo collage, and at least one photo of the completed task.

I choose my baby handkerchief because it contains dotted green and white which matches with the colour of my yarn.

In creating border, the first thing I did was inserting my knitting pin into towel, used my yarn and make a knot. I continue with making the first petals with a single stitch and added 5 double stitch.

At this point I was amazed to see that results. I began the second petal with single stitch then 5 double stitch again. I gently continued the same till the edge of my face towel where close my work with a slip stitch.

Here is the final look of my work.

For a better understanding of my explanation, please click on the video below.

Make only one of the two roses explained in this lesson. Support your task with videos, a photo collage, and at least one photo of the completed task.

In this task 2, since we had a double rose and a single rose, I practice both but a single rose come out neat and nice so as such, I choose a single rose over double rose.

In making single rose, I started with creating a knot and continue knitting 32 chains, this was the most simple and most enjoying part of this knitting because it is what I knew already.

At the end of my 32 chains, I turned my pin, counted two and insert pin on the third and I began my half double stitch.

To make the half double crochet, I yarn over, passed the hook through the stitch, I gently pull it out to form three strands on the hook. After this, I now took a loop an pass it through the first and the second Strand. I gradually repeated the same process till edge of step.

I continued making 5 chains then turn it, leaving two spaces and in the third chain I made a single crochet, then made 5 chains and repeated the same process till the end of the row.

I sat down and count, I was extremely delighted to have ten squares hole which I will use for the formation of a petal of my rose. I made a single crochet and a chain stitch, then I gently turned it to start making the petals.

In petals making, I added nine double crochets and finished with a single crochet all in the same hole. I repeated this process to complete this steps then I made a single crochet in the starting chain and close it with a slip stitch.
That is how I arrived at this point. Look at the single rose, I believe I have given my best.

Word can't express how I feel about learning this course, I pray for steemit team to give us another season so that I can acquire more knowledge.

My heart felt gratitude goes to our two instructors @analp and @naka05

Remember I was an apprentice who knows nothing about crochet at the start but now, I can boost fully tell you that my level has changed, I understand different crochet terminology an can carry out any knitting pattern with my teacher's video assistant. Thanks so much for your time, corrections and suggestions.

I would like to invite @nahela, @lovinah, @nancy0, @paholags to participate in this contest.

Hola amiga.
