CROWDSOURCED MARKETING: Marketing Initiative (Part 4). Bloggers blog for free on TripAdvisor while Shareholders reap the benefits..!!

CROWDSOURCED MARKETING: Marketing Initiative (Part 4).

Despite my concerns that Part 3 would have shocked a few, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't offend anyone.

Part 3 was always going to be the toughest part to convey and I now feel that with this behind me the remaining parts of the proposal will be a walk in the park..!!

Over the last few days I have published Parts 1, 2 and 3 talking about a proposed Crowdsourced Marketing Initiative I am proposing as a result of the suggestion by @zurvanic & @andrarchy that the marketing of STEEM / STEEMIT should be Crowdsourced.

I once again totally support this approach to the Marketing of STEEMIT and the STEEM ECOSYSTEM as explained in previous Blogs and Videos.

Part 4. Bloggers blog for free on TripAdvisor while Shareholders reap the benefits..!!

For Part 4 I wanted people to focus on other Social Media Blogging sites and in particular TripAdvisor.

The reason I have chosen TripAdvisor is that this is a Platform readily used by both Bloggers and Readers to talk about travel experiences.

Most people will be familiar with the concept.

Bloggers write their experiences, likes, dislikes and comments for those travel destination experiences, including: Places to stay, Places to eat, Places to see, etc.

They do all this for free..!!

The Platform then promotes these recommendations and stories for readers to assess their own opinion on whether they chose a particular travel location or not.

Whilst the Bloggers are giving up their time for free, and readers are making their choices also for free, it is the Shareholders that reap any benefits for both sides interacting.

Don't be fooled by the Advertising Model

There will be many out there that will step in and say that revenue streams are generated by advertisements.

Don't be fooled by this misconception.

The revenue streams are generated from this type of Platform purely by the extraction of data these types of Platforms generate.

Over the next few days I will continue explaining my proposal and hopefully towards the end of the week I will wrap it up together in a summarised Blog and Video that will hopefully explain why I believe this proposed Marketing Initiative would be an exceptional initiative for STEEMIT.

Thanks again for reading.

I love the Crouwdsourcing Marketing Initiative !

AWESOME..!! That is so cool..!! Stephen

Hey thanks :)

Very interesting project, looking forward to the summary as well.

This looks really interesting. I think you're absolutely right about there needing people to promote Steemit in real life at fairs and expos and other places, especially if it's going to become a marketplace, which I think it really could, given a few additional features to support that.

I hope to see the summary of everything together and help with STEEMIT marketing

I should have it all pulled together by the end of the week. Stephen

While I don't think this is what you are going for I think Steem has huge potential when niched out to compete with sites like Trip Advisor.

I am not sure if it is technically doable but imagine a site like Steemit.com but targeted to vacationers. It works just like Trip Advisor but the people who do reviews can earn Steem and the Steem can be used (directly or via seemless conversion to Bitcoin or Dollars) to book trips and what not. You could run the site based on Affiliate income from trip booking, like Trip Advisor, plus use CPM ad revenue to invest back into the Steem ecosystem.

I think Steem has the early makings of something that can actually take on things like Trip Advisor, Yelp, even Amazon. Thanks to the nature of encouraging, via Steem rewards, both creating content and upvoting good content.

I think this will be really effective once more people start doing it. Great job. :)
