Proposal Goals

Macro:

  • Create Sandboxes, in person and on-network, where community members can try out improvement ideas
  • Train the community to propose ideas, discuss them, and then collaborate with each other and execute on them to the prototype phase with minimal overhead
  • Set an example for the others to follow
  • Onboard more community-builders by subsidizing entrepreneurial business opportunities with this CDGP-funded incubator design.

Micro:

  • To be a physical resource, an incubator sandbox, for the first Crown Atomic startups: makers lab, server hosting, hardware support, team training.
  • The Reactor will help to lower the overhead of resource management for those who wish to try out their improvement ideas. * The lower the barrier to experimentation, the greater the level of innovation.
  • Skilled trainers prepared to help any project need. The next generation of internet startups can move quickly through the prototype phase. The Reactor is an incubator that supports the physical deployment efforts of real-life teams. Some examples that I have written about: Guild Orchestration, the Stuttgart Project, Vendor Development, User Research Guild, and other as-yet-to-be-proposed community startups like libraries and cafes.
  • To coordinate in-person meetups and help Atomic teams establish efficient workflows by banding together in cross-org "guilds" focused on a single innovation category.
  • Having someone who is focusing on team communication training, project management, increasing engagement levels of local incubators, organizing meetups, collaborating with the non-crypto community, and other People-centric activities that help like-minded builders get together and solve problems.
  • The Reactor will be working to distribute collaboration tools, and coordinate co-located users in innovative ways, like through VR work spaces and room-scale hybrid-reality "maker" shops, making co-located teamwork more effective by adding voice and body-language to our communications.
