Hong Kong Public Ico & crypto education

Hong Kong authorities have taken Crypto education into their own hands. The Financial Services and Treasury Bureau launched a campaign on Jan 29th aiming to teach people via TV, metro system, and social media. Also, on their website called the 'Chin Family' crypto education resources are available.

Rueters quotes from a European Central Bank board member, Benoit Coeure-

“The international community is... preparing an answer to that and I would expect, for instance, the G20 discussion in Buenos Aires in March to focus very much on these issues,”
“They can be called an asset, fine, but they are not a very good version of money because it's not a very stable store of value where they fluctuate a lot,” she continued adopting a frequent narrative on Bitcoin’s use. “And it's not a very efficient medium of exchange because you don't buy your groceries with bitcoin.”

Which, is absolutely a horrible statement. Just wait Benoit, until we get payment processing in order. And a pegged cryptocurrency to trade with, gold pegged crypto anyone?

Robinhood Mobile App launch Zero-Fee crypto

Starting in February the 0 fee stock trading app Robinhood will allow users to trade in only Bitcoin and Ethereum with no fees. Also, will be allowing users to track the price of XRP and LTC.

“We’re planning to operate this business on break even basics and we don’t plan to profit from it for the foreseeable future. The value of Robinhood Crypto is in growing our customer base and better serving our existing customers.”
“We believe that cryptocurrencies have the potential to fundamentally reorganize the way money works from the ground up, putting power previously held by financial institutions directly in the hands of the people,” Robinhood added in its announcement.

Could Robin Hood be the arrow in Coinbases side? We can only hope. My only wonder, is if they will be integrating a wallet to transfer bitcoin/ethereum or if it will be only a platform of buying and selling.. That will make or break for almost all crypto enthesiusts.
