🎇 Coinmarketcap Is Now More Popular Than Wall Street Journal (WSJ.com) According to Alexa August 6, 2017
I got amazed because many of my friends on social media recently are asking me about Cryptocurrency. We are aware that the soaring price of Bitcoin is one of the factors that tanking the market not only the price but as a whole Crypto Eco system popularity.
One noticeable thing is the site growing traffic on Alexa rank. If you're not aware of Alexa rank is I will just give a brief explanation what it is. Alexa Rank is a rough measure of website's popularity, compared with all of the other sites on the internet, taking into account the number of visitors and the number of pages viewed on each visit.
Today, I have seen this notification pops in on my browser. And I admit it gives me some excitement for the whole Crypto market.
COINMARKETCAP OUTRANKS WSJ.COM BY A SMALL MARGIN
Looking at individual website statistics on any given day can sometimes produce interesting results. For example, one would expect the website of the Wall Street Journal to be incredibly popular. Alexa statistics confirm that is the case, especially among internet users in the United States. The latter aspect is not entirely surprising, as most WSJ readers reside in the U.S. Overall, WSJ.com is the 555th most popular website in the world, which is very impressive.
This is especially true considering how difficult it has become to maintain a top position on Alexa these days. The game is constantly changing as to how site traffic is measured and sites are indexed. Getting anywhere close to the top 1,000 is a massive challenge, especially if you want to keep your website profitable at the same time. Some sites certainly do a much better job at this than others; that much is blatantly obvious. However, WSJ.com has been facing some stiff competition from a competitor they would not necessarily expect.
I personally check it out by the time of 5:04 PM UTC this result shows up on my monitor.
We all know that Wall street has been around for decades. This is surprising to me given this data that still I do believe that Cryptocurrency market is still not reaching its peak.
Comparing two sites in completely different industries often makes very little sense. However, it shows that people are slowly looking for different information sources where both news and cryptocurrency are concerned. It is certainly possible cryptocurrency will stick around for a longer period of time, even though not everyone at WSJ might see it that way. Media sites have been paying more attention to cryptocurrency as well, which could paint an interesting future picture for both WSJ and Coinmarketcap alike.
My thoughts is it gives me excitement for the whole Eco system of the whole Cryptocurrency. We can clearly see with our eyes the second Dot.com era that happened in 1990's. I believe this is the same time when Bill Gates and his men are starting the Revolutionary Microsoft. Still a small percentage knows about it including you as a reader of this blog. As a Former Licensed Series 7 Broker in the Financial Industry who saw a lot of the Wall St. CRAP from a Ringside Seat, I am so Grateful now not to be in that industry any longer. I was in it for almost 29 years. I do not miss it at all. I Love the Cryptos and I am Real Grateful that I have a place like STEEMIT to share and earn for just posting and commenting. Thank you for this post.
Ha, I was in real estate for years and am so glad I'm not part of that mess any longer.
I Loved the Profession but I did not like the way that people have been treated. You know what I mean I'm sure. Just the Next Commission.
Yup!
that industry also seems very bland! With cryptos you can almost do anything! I know several people who only exclusively use cryptos now only using fiat for bills and taxes.
junkies
