Alien Worlds

What is Alien Worlds? It is, essentially, a play to earn game that runs in your web browser. It works in the WAX blockchain. You log in to the game using your MyCloudWallet credentials, select a planet, pick a land, and mine in that land every few minutes (or hours), and in return, you earn TLM (Trillium) tokens. These tokens can then be used to obtain upgrades, or be traded in the Alcor Exchange.

Alien Worlds contains six planets: Eyeke, Kavian, Magor, Naron, Neri, and Veles. Each planet is governed by a smart contract / DAO within the WAX blockchain. It is possible to buy land in one or more planets from the AtomicHub market. Land will earn passive daily TLM tokens to land owners / holders.

Under the hood, there is a lot more happening than that, however. A big online community has formed around Alien Worlds in the form of Telegram groups, Discord groups, additional websites, roleplayers, and even custom MineCraft (and similar) worlds featuring Alien Worlds content, in a dynamic that is ever evolving towards a much bigger whole.

Where to start?

The game itself is located at https://alienworlds.io/ Like it was mentioned earlier, you sign up and log in to the game using MyCloudWallet, which is an online web wallet for the WAX blockchain. If you have ever used MetaMask, then know that MyCloudWallet works in a similar way, but without even installing anything!

Note: People in some countries have reported that they can only access MyCloudWallet using VPN, so keep this in mind if it doesn't load for you.

What's next?

To connect with Alien Worlds community, you would start by joining the official Discord group and / or Telegram group.

There are more communities, and more side content / add-on content, and these will be covered in another post. If you are new to WAX and / or Alien Worlds, the content written here should get you started, though. Enjoy!
