The United States has invested a significant amount in hiring firms to evaluate blockchains operations.
With a view to eliminating the financing of illegal activities, terrorism, money laundering, among other criminal practices that are performed with cryptocurrencies, the US government has invested almost 6 million dollars in contracts for companies that are responsible for analyzing blockchain.
These companies, specialize in this service, and over the years since the creation of Bitcoin have raised about 30 million dollars to provide their tools, which for their happiness have been increasingly requested by government agencies.
According to research, the amount of payments received by these blockchain analysis companies has tripled in recent months, mainly the Chainalysis firm that received from the US government 5.3 million dollars in total. There are also others such as Elliptic and CipherTrace, which together with the former have been the only ones that have cooperated with the intelligence service.
Among the entities that have invested the most in these services are the Internal Revenue Service and the Immigration and Customs Force. Some believe that these investigations could have a background to locate a specific identity of a user by tracking transactions.
In this same order, stands out the loss of popularity that have had the initial offers of currency, since at this point they should have collected the same amount they collected during the past year. However, some analysts believe that ICOs and pre-sales of tokens can hardly increase or improve in the remaining months.
