​​American crypto-investors have turned taxes into fake

In recent weeks, the resources writing about cryptocurrencies have explained all the fluctuations of the exchange rate by the coming day of X-17 April, when the period for payment of taxes for the year 2017 in the United States ended. Last year, US crypto-investors earned $ 168 billion, so the taxes should have been about $ 25 billion.

Exchange operations in such volumes will inevitably lead to a jump in the bitcoin rate first downwards, and after April 17 sharply upwards, experts asserted - even if malicious defaulters will be 20, 30 or even 50%.

But crypto-investors decided otherwise: according to the company Credit Karma Tax, out of 250 000 holders crypto-tax returns filed 100 (one hundred) people, or 0.0004%. The data of the US tax service is more optimistic: of the millions of Americans who own cryptocurrencies, they have been paid taxes as much as 900 people.

What tax specialists will do with such statistics is unclear. But another thing is clear: all forecasts of cryptocurrencies rate, based on the Tax Day, are worthless. The rate of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies depends on other factors. And the bad mood of a "whale" can have more influence on crypto-market than the entire tax system of the US - which is now clearly not very moody.
