Simple Crypto filters
Coinmarketcap.com is, for many people interested in crypto land, the first site that’s checked each day. It’s used to see the state of the crypto nation when one considers price, traded volume and market capitalisation.
With more and more “alts” coming onto the market, it’s becoming a rather unwieldy list. At the time of writing there were nearly 1100 coins, tokens or assets listed.
In an attempt to see the wood for the trees, I’ve created the following spreadsheet
It’s a simple screen scrape from coinmarketcap.com with some spreadsheet filters applied. Unless you change them, it will only display those coins where the following is true:
- Traded volume in last 24 hours ≥$1,000,000
- Market capitalisation ≥$5,000,000
These numbers are fairly arbitary, and it’s by no means steeped in any signifciant analysis. It’s simply there to show me coins that may have some merit in them and warrant further investigation. You can easily change the filters yourself, of course.
There are two tabs:
- Currencies — Mineable or pre-mined crypto currencies
- Tokens
The price changes are colour coded as per below to try and catch the eye onto ones that have exhibited moves that may make them more interesting.
I’ve noticed the sheet doesn’t always automatically refresh based on traded volume and so I will re-initiate this by selecting the down arrow on column G and hitting “OK”.
