Yo. So today I'd like to share with you all two more great platforms that I discovered today. Well, technically that's a lie.

You may have seen me mention either of these two before, as I have known about them for quite some time and have been really interested, so I was tossing around my referral link to those I thought may be interested(I did not spark anyone's interest, though, haha).

The other day you may have seen how I made a post about how I accidentally took a little Steemit hiatus, which really extended to a computer hiatus in general. That being said, it took me awhile to get around to sifting through all my e-mails from the past 10 days. And I stumbled upon not one, but two e-mails I had been awaiting for awhile now.

It's all relative. For me, "awhile" could mean a few days, I have zero time awareness.

Anyways, I got the news today that these two platforms I have been waiting for, Presearch and Manna, were up and running, figuratively speaking. Presearch launched their Beta testing(or I got approved for it, anyways) and Manna announced their website was up and running and UBI will start being distributed on March 1st. If you have heard of these platforms, then the information below is probably nothing new. But if you haven't, here's a brief run down:

Presearch

Presearch is attempting to essentially replace larger, centralized search engines such as Google. Their whitepaper discusses how searches on those engines, although the majority of people are led to believe they are unbiased, are in fact backed by larger corporations with different agendas.

They argue that instead they want to provide an open and decentralized, community-built search engine. Rather than get more into their whitepaper, which I encourage you to read yourself if you are interested, I will instead tell you about their current beta testing that was recently launched.

I signed up for Presearch quite a bit ago and eventually applied to be part of the beta testing. I don’t remember exactly how this process went, but I do remember it took a little sleuthing. However, don’t let that discourage you, because upon reviewing my e-mails today I noticed I had been approved. I don’t remember having to input anything other than extremely basic information.

So tonight I completed the sign up for the beta testing, and have briefly explored it. It is not really a search engine as of now, but more of a tool for them to gather information that rewards the testers. From a simple menu, you can choose which engine you would like to use, and make a search. Each search is rewarded with .25 PRE tokens.

I don’t know where this token might go. But, if I can get rewarded with a token every time I need to make a search, I’m game, regardless of the final outcome. If you agree, I strongly encourage you take a look here

Manna

Manna is fairly straightforward, and I encourage everyone to sign up. It is essentially cryptocurrency income-assistance, non-discriminatory and based upon the belief that it is a basic human right. I’ve been met with skepticism by some people when talking about this sort of thing before but rather than defend Manna I encourage you to look into it yourself and learn more about the organization behind it.

They plan to begin distributing income on March 1st, so scurry on over if you’re interested (which I don’t see why you wouldn’t be).
