That means that most global trade occurs in dollars. So when South Africa buys oil from Saudi Arabia, the transaction will be dollars for oil.🛢

This is a major advantage as it allows the US to run budget deficits (#spending more than it collects in #taxes, money printing) without having to worry about #inflation as long as the world is still holding and trading #dollars.🖨
