US debt set to eclipse $2 Trillion in 2019

The United States budget deficit for 2019 is projected to hit $897B, an unfathomable amount of money. 💵
This means that the United States will add $897B to it’s already massive $22T of debt (even more unfathomable). 💰
That new money will be created out of thin air by the Federal Reserve.💭 .
The questions we should be asking are:❓ .
1). Is this a sustainable economic model? If so, why not print money for everyone?🖨 .
2). Borrowing money to spend today means restricting someone else’s spending tomorrow. We’ve acknowledged that’s wrong with climate; why is it okay with #economics?📉 .
3). If the #economy is so great right now, why do we need to keep borrowing so much money? 🤔
