Wrapping Up The Refund Program

The HyperVerse Refund program would be ending on the 31st of October, approximately 8 days from today and the journey has been nothing short of amazing, there has been some amazing ups and some challenging downs we have encountered during the course of the refund program and thanks to our small but amazing team, we were able to overcome each challenge as they come and managed to make the refund program a resounding success, we have documented some of the most memorable milestones and decided to share it with our amazing and supportive community.

20-01-2023

This is the day when the Refund Program was officially launched, we decided to launch the program with only a small team so that we would not spend too much of the recovered funds paying staff and affecting the end users negatively in the long run, it was a risky move because if we had encountered a major emergency during the process, we would have required more staff especially in the IT department to deal with the fallout, this decision ultimately led to the winding down of support for our Telegram Chat but in the end, it turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made as we have managed to reduce our overhead to the barest minimum despite 9 successful months of operation.

On this special date, we were 15 days into the refund program and in-line with our commitment to transparency, we published our First Community Newsletter where the community was updated about the progress in the refund process, if you haven’t read it before, it’s a fun read!.

Exactly 15 days(half a month) after the first Newsletter was published, the second newsletter was published to keep the community updated on the progress of the refund program, you can read it here.

31-05-2023

We earlier mentioned some ups and downs during the course of the refund program and this wouldn’t be complete without mentioning this downs, on this date, we experienced a timeout in our automated systems and unfortunately, some member accounts that were trying to complete the refund process were impacted, thanks to our amazing IT Department who immediately swung into action as soon as they were alerted about the issue, there was minimum damage and the issue was swiftly resolved.

Due to the uncertainty and regulatory scrutiny surrounding Binance USD(BUSD), we decided to drop support for this Stablecoin and from the 18th of October, we halted deposits and withdrawals of BUSD in the Refund portal.
