Cardano Staking in the Testnet

in #crypto7 years ago

IOHK teams around the world have been hard at work bringing the most rigorously scrutinized set of blockchain and cryptographic technologies to Cardano. In a move forward in testing their platform and what could be the most important wallet of 2018: Daedalus.

Early users of the Daedalus wallet remember network sync errors and infinite loops deep in the back that stonewalled owners from accessing their coin. One reason to keep an eye on Cardano and Daedalus is their dedicated networking and back end improvements noted in their roadmap.

April 05, 2018 Cardano opened registration for Testnet staking pools. Like PIVX and DASH, Cardano is tackling decentralized governance. With Cardano, IOHK has funded research into game theoretic models to balance incentives and limit centralization. As of now, there is no direct communication mechanism within the wallet, so we can hope to see a whole new set of features regarding staking delegates, voting, and proposal viewing. Fingers crossed they come up with a better UI than PIVX.

To help Cardano test their staking pools, find the link in their roadmap (hard) or go to: https://staking.cardano.org
You'll have to answer a few questions about your comfort level with command line interfaces and various server use cases (home networking, cloud services). Some personal information and an email are required, so this is far from an anonymous step.
