The best way to combat fake news is by making decentralized platforms with incentives for others to join. Steemit is one of those platforms, not centrally controlled by a big corporation, but rather by it's own users(witnesses).
Legacy Media will die eventually, decentralized world is coming. Glad to have ya hear!
I heard about Steemit a while ago and decided to join just recently. I find this network really great, but just a bit hard to create an own circle. Hopefully with a hard work I will manage to do it.
