Cryptic Conjure is the first Ethereum Dapp using the Unreal Engine 4 Cryptic Conjure is a multiplayer fantasy action-RPG, based on the Ethereum blockchain. Players will team up with up to three other players and journey into dual-elementally-themed dungeons, using a large variety of spells to combat massive creatures.

But it’s those spells, really, that make things unique.

In-game, you can gather resources and rare drops, and, after a bit of time, craft a wholly new, unique spell. That spell is yours to use, but with it come twenty uniquely generated Essence. Those Essence can be traded away via the blockchain, but in the world of Cryptic Conjure , the more people know that particular spell--the more unique owners among those twenty tokens--the weaker the spell becomes. Trade one Essence away, and the spell drops from 200% power to 190%. Trade another, and the spell drops to 185% for all three owners. In Cryptic Conjure , what is trust worth? Will the original player promise to only ever give away four Essence in total? Do the other players demand some of the excess, so the original creator doesn’t hold all the bargaining power? Are Essence traded for other spells, for resources, for pure currency, for knowledge?

Everything in the game is built on this fundamental truth: knowledge is power. If you know a rare recipe, well, it gives you an advantage in the marketplace; you’re one of the only suppliers. Weapons and equipment work in similar fashion. Know an amazing way to take down a boss, in record time? Players atop the leaderboards will gain rare and valuable drops, which can be leveraged via the in-game economy to generate real-world currency for the players in question.

In Cryptic Conjure , secrets are their own form of currency. Mysteries, riddles, puzzles…everywhere you look, your power doesn’t come solely from the strength of your magic…it comes from the strength of your mind.
