How can a non engineer contribute to Steem/Crypto projects and get rewarded in crypto rather than USD

Hey Steemers,

How do nonengineers contribute to crypto projects and receive digital schmeckels in return? I'm really excited about Steem and crypto currency in and l'd like to get involved and contribute to a project. I've been following bitcoin since my friend was mining it on a laptop in 2009 and i've been hooked ever since. His name was Marneezy and he was a pioneer. He got involved with BTC and got rewarded with BTC in return. Developers can work on open source projects in exchange for bitcoin but how can a non technical muggle get involved.

I am currently a cloud security account executive in the bay area that would like to spread the good word. Any thoughts or wild ideas to earn some crypto shmeckles?
