MISSION: Quantum-Mainstream-Money ?

in #crypto4 years ago (edited)

Hello,

What if I told you that Bitcoin still is for now, the best investment you can make ? We'll probably agree, it's stable, big, and trusted, but why doesn't Zcash for example didn't surpassed it? It is safe, anonymous, and has encrypted anonymous transactions meanwhile a transactions takes from 2min to 60min to be partially to entirely proceeded? Also, why Steem didn't go further and why doesn't it isn't valued at 1$ rather than 0.15$, it could have been more widely used?

Well, there is two issues that make most crypto no more interesting that Bitcoin, we'll, let's talk about it in some seconds:

Zcash isn't anonymous, while it has a features to shield identity of transactions Researchers Claim 99.9% of Zcash Transactions Are Traceable and Monero goes up to 30% the same way. So one can not trust anonymous crypto to hide their wallet completely more than that, none of the project above take full advantage of most robust cryptographic algorithms such as Scrypt, Salsa 20, HMAC, AES, Ntru, Mceliece, and so on (Blockchain and web app). So anonymity still is a problem to solve, and we don't talk about quantum computer !

Second problem: Mainstream accessibility !

Steem was technically designed to be mainstream it had all capability of being mainstream, meanwhile, it had stopped to a few step:

There isn't a great integration to which you can publish files, videos, sounds, and images into a great interface...

Here is how STEEM Interfaces should have been developed: cached data (Offline browsing ), strong Keys encryption, articles and videos browsing, in fact a Facebook-like platform with quite the same user experience. This project is available @viper.network but has been abandoned because it was too early and dangerous to make it grow further, so it stay as an example of what could be done, and what actually is theoretically possible.

So no one did solve the user experience and anonymity challenge, no free access to such services does exist. I call theses two challenges Mainstream-Quantum-Money because it has to provide a mainstream UX and a protection against computer and quantum computer. (Maybe the crypto world order does prepare themselves to get such a project, but for now it is too early)

Have a nice week,
Primerz

I didn't mentioned "Going from Bad to Worse: From Internet Voting to Blockchain Voting" https://people.csail.mit.edu/rivest/pubs/PSNR20.pdf

But take a look!

Maybe one day we'll have an alternative to Facebook pegged for inner transaction but available at market price for investment and then investment will define pegged asset size so users aren't overpowered or under-powered and so we'll have a fair social media that runs well.
