  • Utopian.io - For rewarding Open Source Developers via the Steem Blockchain.
  • SteepShot – An instagram like client for Steem
  • Dlive.io - Live Video Streaming platform for steem
  • d.tube - Video Platform like Youtube with Steem rewards
  • dsound.audio - Soundcloud like Platform With Steem Rewards
  • dmania.lol - Meme site like 9gag based on Steem

Thank you so much for sharing this! I never even knew most of these existed... It seems like I have some more learning to do!

That's pure gold! I had no idea those platforms existed!!! Just dicovered a new universe of opportunities! Thanks a lot for sharing @inquiringtimes

Have fun, also, keep in mind, since those can be shorter form, if you write a lot of blogs you may want to create another account to run the alt dapps so they don't clog up your blog feed or bother your followers.. I'm hoping the new communities feature will help clear that up

Yes, this! Plus:

  • zappl.com - A twitter/reddit mash-up, meant for short/quick sharing of media and links!

Wow, you get it. Thanks

Thank you

hese questions are very important for sharing to be effective.
Is sharing a trainer or fun?
Sharing the tone right?
Is the share too long?
Is the shared URL eligible?
Should I target a certain mass of followers with this sharing?
Do I use the right keywords and hashtags to increase the impact of sharing?
How many shares have I made today?
Did I check the share marking rules?
Does anyone see this sharing affect me?
Is this sharing an emotional reflex or a properly planned share?
Have you used images like videos, slideshows, etc. correctly?
Did I use the right tactics when preparing the update text?
I also have a small group I attended to win my crypto pa. The name is @kusadasi

@stellabelle

I have no idea what you are talking about

I'm just trying to help out with what I understand

but you keep saying "share" and I'm not sure what you mean.

I was hoping to find more specific communities, not apps. SteemStem rewards science writing, etc.

this part is actually a bit harder, since many communities, come and go... I do feel like those apps create their own communities, of the people who use them, but I know what you mean... this is the first one I can think of that I know is active:

@creativesteem - "Creative Community Collective - Contest Central & Steemian Artist Promotion - Exclusive Reward Fund & Investment Initiative"

and of course slothicorn :) which is similar to creativesteem, but specifically for cryptocurrency related art in the creative commons.

There is the writers block, which is a community of professional writers, or writers apiring to be professional writers. They have mentoring, workshops, and peer review processes. https://discord.gg/WRdJBQT

There is the You Are Hope community, which is quite possibly the most successful charity initiative on steem https://discord.gg/hWDRQUY

The Babel-Pond which is a collective of translators, who work within the steem comunity https://discord.gg/cjxYZkH

@cervantes connects people in the spanish speaking community... there are many discord communities... but I don't have the most current list of them at the moment, so I'm struggling with this part.

https://www.steemmakers.com/

SteemMakers is a community which focuses on uniting, helping and rewarding makers and DIYers on the Steem blockchain. You can find more info about us and how to contact us on our website

https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@jefpatat/steemmakers-bot-updated

I would add to that Pimp Your Post Thursday which is held in the Steemit Ramble discord. Two sessions are held each Thursday (11am & 7pm EST) where the attendees can share a post and talk about their post on voice chat.

It's an opportunity for people from across the platform to get to know others. Attendees are encouraged to check out the posts with upvotes, comments and/or resteems as they see fit.

Many connections have been made in these sessions helping people to come together to help each other out.

An announcement reminding people when PYPT is on is published usually on Thursday morning. The latest announcements which include an FAQ about how it works can be found at https://discord.gg/WGbn9xZ

I'll follow up w some of that. I just happened to have that list easily available <3

https://steemit.com/steemdev/@inquiringtimes/steem-web-resources-tools-apps-communities-ect

might be good to drop this link in the article so people can get an overview of the steem universe at a glance

upon further consideration, I would include in the article that developers can very quicky find themselves handsomely rewarded in this community.... just in general... but we do have a discord server to help developers figure stuff out, just seems like coders are highly valued here in general...

I'm going to keep dropping thoughts in here as they come to me... later I might give a shot at coming up with something draft like

This was a great comment. I actually saved that list thanks inquiringtimes. Following you as well!

Lets not forget about an altruistic way as well- Whenever you find some plagiarized content you can drop it at steemcleaners.org and not only do you make the platform a better place but earn a small reward too :)

Utopian.io is one of the the best places supported by Steem blockchain where you can get highly rewarded for the hard work that you have done for the open source community in general.

in Utopian.io the posts are called contributions and this contributions can be published under a specified category while every category have a set of rules that you should follow to write your contribution and post it. then a moderators will review your contribution if it is good it will be accepted and get a vote from @utopian-io voting bot. else your contribution will be hidden from the utopian feed.

for the categories utopian.io have 12 major category where every users with a steemit account can write a contribution.

Suggestion: if you are using an open source project like steemit/busy/esteem or other projects published on Github and you have an idea for a new feature or an enhancement for an existing one this is your place.

Development: this is the reason why Utopian was created. a lot of developers from the open source community build, fix and make better projects every day without making any profit from their work  but now and thanks to Utopian and the Sponsors if you are a developer this is you place and your hard work is not wasted anymore.

Bug Hunting: you are using an open source app, website or other open source projects and you spot a bug you can report this bug from Utopian and get rewarded for that.

Translation: thanks to this category a lot of open source projects now can be used world widely because of the hard work of the translators community that Utopian created. now you can translate open source projects to your mother language and get rewarded for that.

Graphics:  Designer, Artist, Videos/Motion creators. you are paid for the graphics that you make for an Open Source project.

Analysis: Generated and Providing a data analysis for an Open Source project can get you a real reward using Utopian, so if you are a data expert or you have worked with data before and you know how to deal with DATA this is your best category.

Visibility: now with this category you can earn cryptos for advertising and promoting open source projects to the world.

Documentation & Copywriting: the documentation category is kinda related to the development category where working on the Official documentation of an Open Source project can make you a good profit and also for the copywriting category.

Tutorials and Video tutorials: in this two categories you can earn by creating a tutorial for an open source project, you can even double your earn of Steem/SBD cryptos by providing a video link to a video tutorials that you have created recently in D.tube .

Blog Post category: if you are a good author and you can write good posts about an open source project, this is you lucky place because you can earn Steem/sbd Cryptos by doing the thing that you love do ;)

this is the twelve major categories that the users can use to earn Steem/SBD from Utopian and there is another category dedicated to the projects owners called the Task Requests where they can submit a request in form of a bounty. so the users can fill/complete this request and get a vote from @utopian-io

Note: when you are using Utopian.io to submit a contribution your post can also be seen and voted from other users using Steemit.com , Busy.org .....or other services that allow you to use and explore steem blockchain  so you can earn more Steem/SBD cryptos by making good contributions.

i hope that this can help you @stellabelle ;) ♥

I don't know how this might fit in your scheme, but I'm begging you to please visit @mariannewest and #freewrite and help a sister out.

Read any of Marianne's prompt posts for jaw-dropping information. Then look at the possibly hundreds of comments she gets on these posts. This woman is wrangling minnows almost single-handedly.

People learn how to post on steemit over there. Marianne improves the minnow kill rate stat.

There's a few of us small people helping but we don't have very much power.

Marianne is succeeding and will succeed here no matter what. But I think what she's doing deserves support. I hope you will visit this magnificent work and agree.

Oh wow! You are so sweet Sharon!! And you succeeded!! I just found in a roundabout way who my benefactor was - I got a delegation last night. Thank You!!!

Participating in or running a DnD style game like Zombie Adventure or Slothy's Arcade Adventure!

hi @stellabelle, i have thought of these 7 ways:

  1. Write posts
  2. Curate posts (for yourself, or work as curator)
  3. Participate in contests (winner takes all)
  4. Participate in games (winner doesn't take all)
  5. Participate in occasional steem give-aways
  6. Sell things through steembay
  7. Load videos on Dtube

@inquiringtimes really has this sewn up... but a new initiative @photofeed serves to reward amazing photography through the #photofeed tag. It pays skillful contributors in resteems and upvotes backed by whales and curation trails.

I also earn Steem as a @curie curator, and I'm sure @qurator and @ocd work similarly... in this process I also report users I come across to SteemCleaners using their Abuse report form. If everyone did this a couple of times a week I honestly think we'd drive the spammers away. Both Curie and SteemCleaners send me Steem for my efforts.

@steempunknet pays you to play their MMO. It's amazing. The top two fighters for the day and the two fighters in the closest fight become beneficiaries on the daily @steempunksnet update post. How many other games literally pay you to play?

@stellabelle your intial gif was one of the most disappointing things I've experienced lately hahaha...expecting a hot girl, then realized it was far from being it hahaha... By the way, great initiative with your article. Very informative and useful for the community. Thanks :)

I scrolled all the way up with my mobile to see it bc it didn't load in the beginning xD lol

Stella, I found you through a nifty tool and your introduction article on the bot the tool let me to.
I wanted to thank you so much for the delegation!! It will help me to support the freewriters more. some of them are so good and get so little rewards for their work. I will be so happy to give them a much nicer upvote now!! Thank you so much!

I am not sure if these initiatives fit into your article since these communities do not pay for a particular action but rather support with upvotes and delegations.

  • The alliance is a community of people who create good content and are willing to support each other. You start in one of the syndicates and the mods will check your past posts to see if you qualify.
community engagement and keep creating good content is key to be part of it. As a member, you get upvotes and are featured in curation posts.
They also have a curation post featuring undervalued posts so we can give them some love. The application and all of that happens via discord. Here is the steemit account https://steemit.com/@thealliance

  • MAP is a project run to support minnows by giving them a delegation. These are the rules https://steemit.com/mapforum/@accelerator/how-to-join-the-map-community-minnows-accelerator-project

  • SteemUsa is a fairly new community similar to the alliance, only all members either live in the US or are originally from the US. @steemusa

And of course the freewriters. Again, no payout beyond the vote I can give them. And I do vote for every entry - which is now much higher - thanks to you!
