Data Light Coin Rankings

in #crypto5 years ago (edited)

Datalight allows you to see grades for the top 100 crypto coins ranking according to them.

These coin grades are pretty subjective, but I think it's helpful to see which coins they have little faith in.

ZB coin, Karatgold coin, Dragon coins and other projects with questionable goals got put onto this list with E ratings.

I definitely don't agree with all their ratings because I wouldn't give Grin, Cosmos, Energi, Beam, Lambda or others such low ratings.

I think one of the more helpful features on using this ranking system is comparing the grade of the coin with the hype increase in the market according to their data.

They have combined Telegram and Twitter hype mainly based off the number of mentions in both channels in order to come up with a percent increase or decrease in the hype score for a certain coin.

According to their data measurements for hype, Electroneum tops the list and also has a good overall mood surrounding the project.

While I find this data helpful for spotting early trends in market sentiment, I would probably use this as a way to just speed up my research. Making financial decisions based on market sentiment can often be a bad idea.

Datalight also has a pretty good blog section where you can find more helpful articles and graphs comparing gold, BTC, and Litecoin returns on your investments as well as more info.

The argument being made in the media right now is that the ROI you could have achieved from gold from last year to now would have been higher.

They also have some Blockchain data on Stellar (XLM).
