DECENTURION, the new movement in crypto? and my thoughts on it all...

So this article is written as my overview of what I read and found out about Decenturion so far, I apologize that it is written in layman's terms but as my name suggests, I'm just your average person, a Slumtowner from South Africa but hopefully the points that I'm about to bring up will give you the reader a bit more insight into this new block chain-pot stirrer, considering there's basically nothing out there to read which will give you a more info...

So sit back, give this a read and please let me know your thoughts, the more input we have the better.

Dencenturion was revealed at the Consensus 2018 conference in New York. You can read their manifesto, which I do suggest if you dont know anything about this, here but basically they want to become the first "Crypto Country", a decentralized state, how they plan on pulling this off? we will see on the 1st of August 2018. Now their manifesto all sounds great (as would any company trying to get public interest) but there we're a lot of unanswered questions from people who read the manifesto and attended the conference, summarizing:
"Who's behind it all?"
"Who's going to run the Crypto Country?"
"How exactly will this work?" and so on....
To which they responded with a few clever answers, eg "do you know runs bitcoin?" "the people will run the country"

Now from plenty searching the net, I've found that people are very split about this, some are calling it an outright scam "Biconneeeeeeeeeeeect No.2" while others are remaining very hopeful in spite of the mystery surrounding it all.

So this didn't help at all with my decision on whether to sign up or not, so lets look at the sign up process...
They have a whole lot of legal to read through, its very well worded but it's basically "I cant screw with you, you cant screw with me and at any point either of us can cancel" standard contract.

But what sort of information do they require?
We'll once agreeing to their contract terms, you're then required to insert a name and surname (you can lie..) your email (again..more lies) and your Ethereum Receive payment code. Which is the exact same code you would send to someone if you we're receiving any crypto payment, so no harm there?

What do we know you get for registering?
We'll if they are true to their manifesto, each "citizen" will receive (100 DCNT) their token name, free for being part of the initial signup before the 1st of August, where after everything will become live, more info will be revealed and this new movement in the block chain will either thrive or crumble or be called out for a scam.. So whats to lose?

CONCLUSION
1.) You're either going to be 100 DCNT up on people who would have to pay for them if it does all kick off or not.
2.)The concerns people have voiced have had weight due to past experiences with scams but honestly we don't know enough to be calling these people out just yet.
3.) The registration information is hardly invasive and it's free

SIDE NOTES
1.) The app on IOS and Android is currently not available and APK's downloaded from other sites don't want to work properly. (please let me know if you've had better luck with this or have a link we can download it from)
2.) Just from looking at their website, video content, app design, Conference stand, they have put quite a bit of money into it, it looks good. So it's either legit or an expensive well thought out scam.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed my overview of it all. Please support us by upvoting!

I came to many of the same conclusions myself. I don't really see what there is to lose by signing up for a citizenship. The intro video is incredibly well put together and seems to address many concerns I have with current power structures. All in all the concepts seems very much like what the Zeitgeist movie has introduced through their videos over the years. Perhaps it is the same group behind those films which are also very well put together. Upvoted, Resteemed, and Promoted with 1 SBD.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

will recieve (100 DCNT) their token name, free for being part of the initial signup before the 1st of August, where after everything will become live, more info will be revealed and this new movement in the block chain will either thrive or crumble or be called out for a scam.
It should be receive instead of recieve.

Thank you, always willing to improve :)
