Criteria for Choosing a Cryptocurrency for a Long-Term Investment
First things first, before you put in your money into any crypto coin, there certain things needed to consider, these things determine the coins future and it's sustainability on the long run, here are few of'em;
Market share - Compare the cryptocurrency's market capitalization to the total market cap.
Utility - What is the practical value of the coin? Is it in demand? Does it have active users?
Transaction volume - The daily number of transactions shows to what extent the market participants need the cryptocurrency.
Liquidity - Low liquidity leads to high volatility, which causes large-scale and substantial price changes in the market. High liquidity creates a less volatile market, and quotes of the cryptocurrencies do not change that rapidly.
Development of technology - If a technology that a cryptocurrency is built atop cannot fulfill its purpose, then the cryptocurrency will not survive in the long term. Study the roadmap carefully and follow the project's updates.
Market news - A news background is what can make a cryptocurrency significantly increase or decline in value. That is why it is crucial not only to follow the news but also be ready to react to it in time.
Secondly, I've been looking at EOS closely since, the coin has been holding ground at $6 price for long, dropped a bit to $5.71 the last time I checked, they'll be leaving the ethereum network to their own mainnet soon, I can't come and be among those that will say I wish I bought EOS by December this year.. 🚶
This dip is dip so buy the fucking dip, I'll recommend some coins with good fundamentals and have sustained test of time, e.g

Thirdly, I don't recommend buying any erc20 tokens for now (except EOS or those planning to move away from it). I'm not saying ethereum is dead please, just that Eth was hyped and skyrocketted to an All Time High price of $1400 as at January this year because of so many ICOs and scam projects hosted under it.
Now in this bear trend, market is undergoing a scrutinizing sanitation and flushing out of unsustainable projects, hence not much will be left, so be mindful of what you're holding!
