Bittrex is preparing for an update that will speed up the processing of orders by 20 times

Bittrex Cryptocurrency Exchange announced in its blog update of the trading engine, which will speed up the processing of orders by 20 times. The upgrade will be launched on November 27 at 21:00 UTC. The Exchange warns that in order to implement the update, it will have to suspend its work.

In particular, customers of the exchange will be able to log in and check their balance sheets, while all their assets will be safe throughout the update. However, the wallets themselves will be unavailable for 24 hours, starting at 21:00 UTC on Wednesday, February 27. It will also be impossible to replenish accounts or withdraw funds until the wallets return to online mode.

Trading will be suspended for up to three hours, starting around 10:00 pm UTC. During the upgrade, any partially completed orders will be canceled. All other open orders will remain in the order books.

This update paves the way for a set of interesting features that will be implemented on the platform in 2019.

Among them: new ways to add Fiat, new types of orders, improvements in account management (access to the full transaction history, account statements, etc.), Maker-Taker and other functions for large traders, flexible conditional orders that will get rid of the need for reserve funds when executing such orders.

It is worth noting that conditional orders will be disabled before the launch of the updated function.

The exchange also informs in its Twitter that it will support the updates of Constantinople and Petersburg in the Ethereum network, which will be activated on block 7,080,000.
