Crypto & Marriage; A Tequila, Vodka & Whisky Night

Most would wonder what my topic means but let me ask you this, have you ever went to that party and had a couple of drinks that don't fit together? Gets you high but when the effect wipes out you end up kissing the porcelain flooring??! Yeah, that's where I am at.

I am a loving, faithful and hard working husband. I do my best to provide my family with a perfect living. Despite being 32 and having a small family of 2; a wife and a 1 year 10 month old boy I'm facing what almost all in my age are facing; financial hardships. My wife; a lovable 27 year older that does her best to support the family emotionally yet like any other woman waiting for that special turquoise tiffany box with diamonds. But what can a man like me do with limited resources and financial pressure? Here is what I decided to do:

I decided to take a few days apart from my family to have a peace of mind, rethink my plans (as I am planning a career shift) and get back to my family with a clear mind. Did I do that? Of course not. My ten day vacation was in New York. It was a nice vacation, one of the best. If you ask me why I'll tell because I made a bank account in NYC and invested in crypto.

I returned with a disaster according to my wife's perspective. I returned with a staring at phone face. My face has been looking at coins going up and down, watching my wallet size fluctuate between profits and losses. Watching applications freeze due to intense trading, whaling, peaking, pumping and dumping, sleeping on crypto, waking on crypto, tweeting about crypto, making calls about crypto...etc Its been crypto crypto crypto. I think I got myself overwhelmed with the idea.

I was five hundred US dollars down on my initial investment in 5 days, it was a disaster once again on the financial side. My wife got mad day by day, and then one day I woke up putting my phone in her face showing her 3x the initial investment in my account, all of a sudden crypto became interesting to her. The road to those tiffany diamonds became more steady, a new IPhone X was bought and more women gadgets are easier to buy now.

So what is crypto-currencies really doing to our marriages? Is it ruining them? Is the amount of time consumed by crypto ruining our marriages? Or is the profits saving marriages because financing life might become more easier now than before? Let me give it a guess. Crypto isn't ruining our lives, it is shifting it, might be shifting it to the better and it also might be shifting it to the worse. Crypto profits are making people addictive, off schedule and eager to make more money. It is ruining lives from a feminine perspective as long as it is not serving demands in my humble opinion. Making profits is the main drive out there for men, at least to myself due to current circumstances. Frankly speaking, I think I am doing good in crypto till now, but I am not yet balancing the crypto VS marriage equation yet.

So yes, Crypto & Marriages don't fit if you abuse it, it will first make you happy then turn out to be a sickness you brought upon yourself if not balanced! So take care guys! Bring lots of gifts, valuable ones to make up for staring at the phone!

Wish me luck on balancing this and hope all who are facing marriage issues fix them cuz simply; money comes and goes! Loved ones do not.

Don't hesitate to share your story here if you are facing a similar issue! Open discussion ladies! :)
