Can Crypto Kitties make blockchain MAINSTEAM!

If you have not found out yet, there is a new cryptocurrency game/app called crypto kitties that runs on the ethereum network. This is a picture of what they look like.

Now i look at this and think whether it is good for cryptocurrencies or bad and i am definitely leaning towards it being a very good thing and this is why.

It Allows the public to become familiar with using cryptocurrencies.

Right now cryptocurrencies are on the rise and the main thing slowing it down in terms of mass adoption is that it is intimidating to use for people who do not know much about cryptos.
First you have to figure out how to convert your fiat into cryptocurrency and which exchange has the lowest fees. Then registering to the exchange can be a tedious process as you have to do the regular sign up and then you have to verify that it is you by taking a photo of yourself and giving them photo ID etc. Then once you have been verified and you have put your fiat into an exchange "coinbase" and have changed it into a digital currency you then have to get your own cryptocurrency wallet which i will not go into as that can be really confusing in itself.

So this digital app will give the public an insentive to go through this process and find out how to get hold of ethereum to participate in this silly addictive game. Once the public become familiar with using cryptocurrencies this will cause an explosion in adoption and this could result in the end of fiat?

I dont know, maybe i am being too optimistic but i do think that pandora's box has been opened as there will be other similar games like this that will become really popular.
