Simple Crypto Allocation Plan
Talked with a newbe friend recently about how to allocate his budget in the world of crypto currencies. After some discussion he developed his own solution but the topic prompted me to consider this question:
"What would be a simple and relatively safe crypto allocation for someone just entering the market in January 2018?"
What follows is not financial advice, just one man's idea for a simple and relatively safe allocation for a crypto budget.
(I know, relatively is a loaded term and means different things to differnet people, I digress....)
20% each in
BTC ($17,103 as of 6pm EST on https://coinmarketcap.com)
BCH ($2,563 as of 6pm EST on https://coinmarketcap.com)
STEEM ($5 as of 6pm EST on https://coinmarketcap.com)
BTS ($ .78 as of 6pm EST on https://coinmarketcap.com)
EOS or XRP pick one ($10 and $3 respectively as of 6pm EST on https://coinmarketcap.com)
I believe anyone owning these in 2018 does well by year's end ( "does well" is another loaded term, I know !!)
I own all of these currencies and my plan is to hodl them. I own others as well, but my thought here is to consider what would be a simple allocation plan using a limited number of cryptos. I chose the number five only because you can count 5 on one hand, and it doesn't get simpler than that in my opinion.
I meant this as a fun exercise, not financial advice. Feel free to chime in.
Note: U.S. citizens should recognize there are restrictions for owning EOS. Check the EOS website for details.
