Simpson’s predict cryptocurrencies??

I stumbled upon something interesting recently. The below image was aired in Simpson’s 1997 season 8, where homer and marge pass by a shop known as cryotobarn, where the sign “A place for codes” is prominently displayed.

Interesting stuff there. The abundance of coding in crypto currencies is a reference that is too apt for it to be interpreted as something else. There were also failed attempts at making electronic cash during the 90s. 10 year onwards, this is quite accurate in representing the current times!

In season 28 episode 12 clearly displays mr barns being fascinated with a new credit card. The logo cannot be more obvious !(]

This was then followed by an episode in season 29 where a group of hedge fund traders showed off their credit card to homer and gang

Seasons 28 and 29 ran in 2017, so the presence of TeNx at that point in time is not surprising. What is surprising, is to feature the technology and logo prominently in 2 episode of Simpson’s! The similarities between the two episodes are also that this is currently used by the privileged and that commoners are in awe of the power it brings. Could this be hinting at who is retaining control behind the scenes? One message is crystal clear though- the welder of the card has power over their lives. If anything, this is probably foreshadowing the generational changes in the years to come.

What do you think?
