Bittrex exchange was subjected to a phishing attack from intruders

Phishing - a kind of Internet fraud using social engineering to gain access to confidential information of users - logins and passwords.

Using Google AdWords advertising, a new site appears on the first page of the search engine, which differs only by one symbol and looks like an original site.

After the user hits the site, he is asked to confirm his IP address, and after - the email address. At the final step, the victim is informed that, due to limitations for security reasons, the ability to log in will appear only after 48 hours. But all the necessary data is already in the hands of intruders.

At the moment, there are no reports of victims and other information yet.

But this incident should be a warning to you that be always attentive and always check the domain names (address bar) where you are trying to go.
