The experiment explained

#The #Setup:
I've created 5 experiments to compare each of those experiments with another.
I took a snapshot on 15 December 2017 of the current marketcap rank of the top 100 coins
and created 5 portfolios on Gravychain.

The 5 portfolios are:
-top 100 coins in marketcap
-top 50 coins in marketcap
-top 25 coins in marketcap
-top 10 coins in marketcap
-top 5 coins in marketcap

I've then calculated how many coins you should have for $1000 each on 15 December 2017. And added those numbers into the portfolio app. If a coin is reoccuring in the different portfolios I used those same numbers every time.

#The #calculations:
After the setup, the data collection can start. So I've created a excel document for gathering, processing and graphing those numbers. ()
[Raw data pages in excel]

To crunch those numbers and place them into perspective I need to retrace al this data to a common number: 100
So I build a simple formula around that to retrace each portfolio to 100$ baseline.

The formula I've used:

Total value top ... portfolio/initial value top ... portfolio x100
*(... = top 100, 50, 25,10 or 5 coins in marketcap!)

##In excel it translates to this:##

After that it's just a matter of placing the data into a automated graph and keep on crunching the data.

#The #motivation:
I'm setting up this crypto experiment to learn and discover the most efficient way to invest into cryptocurrency. While reducing the risk for loss by diversifying your crypto assets. And still earn the most revenue as possible.

What happens if i invest in each top 100 coin:

Awesome - please keep updating. This might change the way I invest in future!!

That's the plan! i'm also implementing a top 50 up to top 100 and a top 25 up to 50 as we speak ^^

Interesting experiment, keep us updated on the results :)
