What is certain is that it depends on the use that you give to the cryptocurrency, it will make it more or less popular, for example:

-Litecoin, has many similarities with the aforementioned cryptocurrency, because technically they are very similar. However, Litecoin's block network is much faster than the previous one, since it only needs 2 and a half minutes to complete a transaction, while in the other it is 10 minutes

-Dash, is an open source cryptocurrency that uses a P2P (Peer-to-Peer) system that offers instant and anonymous transactions, one of the things for which it became famous, was the introduction of anonymity. Remember that cryptocurrencies usually offer privacy because user data is not known, but everyone can see them.

-Pivx, is a cryptocurrency that focuses on verified private transactions and instantaneously (hence the name PIVX) could be said to have everything that characterizes the other cryptocurrencies; its design is focused on correcting the deficiencies of the others.

To conclude, in my humble opinion, I think that every cryptocurrency is incredible but its creation was basically elaborated to be free of any entity and we can already deduce that we want privacy in every aspect, so I bet everything to PIVX, it is that there's nothing better than having everything in one, sounds trite but it's like that
