Grow Your Base is one of the few projects I've seen that has not used an ICO or token sale, and has been organically growing for a few years running now. They have streamlined their focus to the digital asset space, and have created a very simple and intuitive platform focused on two concepts - Earning and Spending.

Earning is where users go to learn about companies offering digital assets which include Collectible Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and even Security Tokens. As users read about projects, watch quick videos, or join Telegram channels, they receive rewards in the form of GYB points on the site.

Each asset listed on the platform has associated tasks that each provide GYB points for completing. Here is an example of the Splinterlands campaign. You can earn up to 300 points by retweeting, visiting their site, joining Discord, creating an account, signing up for an email list, and downloading a wallet. You can then use these 300 points to get a Splinterlands pack, or you can save them up towards a different asset. This allows you to learn about every asset offered, but only spend your points on the ones of greatest value to you.

Spending is where users can then go to redeem their points for different types of digital assets. They organize these into Collectibles (Gaming NFTs, Rare Earth NFTs, and Digital Art NFTs) and also Cash Flow (Real Estate, Master Nodes, Music Royalties, and Other).

The Real Estate offerings are quite interesting to see. There are currently two different projects that are listing Real Estate assets on GYB.

RealT is a project that is physically purchasing multi-unit real estate, creating an LLC that owns that property and rents it out, and then tokenizing the income stream that comes from that property. The income gets paid out in the form of a stablecoin to all addresses that hold tokens for that property.

Upland is offering digital real estate within their platform. They have created a blockchain based San Francisco, which then allows you to buy and sell tokens which represent ownership of property on their platform. While not as relevant or innovative as RealT, there have been many projects that have been able to generate demand for digital assets within their platforms.

The Other category has the most exciting project and asset type listed. Unfortunately for some of us, this one is not available to US residents due to regulatory concerns.

Orderbook is a project that is trying to bring greater access into the Pre-IPO space. They set up a fund that has sufficient capital to buy pre-IPO shares in high demand companies. They then tokenize ownership rights in their holdings, and those tokens can then be bought and sold. The first high demand company they are doing this with is SpaceX through their USPX token. GYB has a campaign set up where you can then earn tokens towards the purchase of 1 USPX token. While the campaign only offers 100 points and the USPX token requires 17,500... you could also complete every other campaign on the platform and earn your way up to the needed 17,500.

The final way you can earn GYB points is through their referral program. You earn GYB points for people joining GYB through your link, so you can easily share yours on Twitter, Facebook, Telegram or through other means.

There is no cost to join, many of the earnings opportunities do not require KYC at this time (although the security ones do), and it is a great way to learn about the different ways that projects are approaching tokenization and regulation in the growing decentralized economy.
