AltBet Partnership, Beacon Arcade, and Proof of Consumption

Hello Beacon Community! It has been a few minutes since we chatted last and we are overdue for a quick conversation about what is happening behind the scenes with Beacon. As you can guess from the picture in the header, we have some exciting news for you so let me break it down for you.

Beacon Arcade

The Beacon Arcade was the original, first use case planned for Beacon when we launched in November 2018. Once we decided to form a legitimate business, we decided to set aside the Arcade out of concerns for online gambling and any legal ramifications. It was a sad day for me as I was very excited about what we could accomplish with the Beacon Arcade and give the community members of Beacon a fun place to utilize their BECN coins.

AltBet Partnership & Cooperation

Over many months, the Beacon Team has built a strong relationship with the AltBet Team and that relationship has manifested itself in the form of a partnership opportunity. Working closely with AltBet, Beacon will be afforded the very unique opportunity to have a white-labelled, Beacon-branded version of the AltBet platform launched and operational in a matter of weeks!

The Beacon Arcade is alive! (insert Frankenstein's Monster)

Together, AltBet and Beacon will begin a strategic cooperation to launch, improve, and grow these platforms. AltBet will own the servers and handle day-to-day operations of the platform and Beacon will provide continued support and improvement opportunities for the design, aesthetics, and user experience of the platforms. Beacon will pay for the monthly server costs for hosting the Beacon Arcade platform and AltBet will receive 10% of the BECN collected through the platform revenue.

Proof of Consumption

Beacon's Founder, PeasantForHire (Patrick), was the first to talk extensively about the very exciting revenue sharing strategy known as Proof of Consumption (PoCon). You can read more about it here. Patrick worked closely with Beacon's partner and good friend Trittium and their founder Eugene. Together they came up with a new way of showing masternode projects were producing revenue and sharing that revenue with their masternode holders.

Beacon will immediately implement PoCon upon the launch of the AltBet powered Beacon Arcade. Revenue from the Beacon Arcade will be broken down in the following manner:

10% - AltBet Fee
30% - Burned
30% - Beacon General Fund
30% - PoCon to MN Holders

The saving and launching of the Beacon Arcade could not be possible without the very generous cooperation and partnering of the AltBet Team. They have provided the Beacon project and the Beacon Community with an opportunity to continue to grow and expand the Beacon Ecosystem through another, very exciting use case for the Beacon coin.
