Hard to persuade my friends to accept Cryptocurrency.

While I have been trying my best to fully understand cryptocurrency and the Blockchain, I find it ever more difficult to pursuade those, whom I associate with on a daily basis. Most people say I am a little late to be jumping into cryptocurrency this late in its existence. How do I talk people into it? How did you succeed? What do I need to do to become better at pursuading my people? Afterall, Cryptocurrency is the future, and it seems like alot will be left behind..
