Digibyte and Minecraft. Launching in 25 days!
Minecraft has a huge player base. Time will tell how this affects DGB price. Seems like cryptos and gaming have a bright future ahead!

Nice to see that cryptocurrencies are engaging in games :)
I am pretty excited about this. I am hoping this opens more doors for larger cryptocurrency/game integrations. Eve Online could really use something like this. They should make there in game currency a realworld cryptocurrency that would be fun.
I guess we will see many bots in the game taking advantage of this not only in trading, and it might not be a bad thing for price as it will bring more liquidity to exchanges and help the price stabilizing
Well the gamers are out in force today!!! The DGB price is off the charts!!

Digi and GAME - invested heavily in both.
hahaha o shit if they have an ICO I'm in
Bitland did this months ago, yet the crypto community acted like it was a terrible idea then...I am baffled at how when Bitland does something new, the community response is negative, yet if someone else does the same thing months later, people lose their minds...interesting...

@chris-bates this is completely different, as they are just helping kids to use Minecraft and develop;-
"....Currently Bitland US branch is working on youth outreach through the popular virtual world platform “Minecraft”. Bitland has sponsored a team of youth to build a dedicated Minecraft server. The team will be led by Parker Kory, a 15 year old who has been named the “Ambassador to the Minecraft Community”. The Minecraft server build is just an example of how the Bitland project wants to get involved with training developers on all levels to understand project planning and execution. As well, the Bitland project wants to promote empowerment through ownership, and in the process empower youth to get involved in development at any age they feel ready...."
Digibyte is integrating it's coin into this and multiple other games too, as a side project...
That's a whole other different coloured horse oO!
that was our plan, but it got no response from the community so we did not release any further info...again, the crypto community did not respond whatsoever when we effectively did the same thing...
Trying to reframe it as if somehow digibyte is doing something drastically different is just a way to rationalize why Bitland was ignored.
Again, we were trying to use Minecraft as a jumping point to get people involved in cryptocurrency and the colored coin for use inside games was the next step.
We are still working on a gamification project in fact, but I will not release any information about it, as people clearly will adopt it and act as if it their own.
Regardless, it's not a whole different coloured horse...
It is frustrating to have to even explain why it's not different.
Okay, I hear what you say and will have to take your word for it, I read the Digibyte post and saw your reply and took the time to read the white paper, I pasted the bit that was relevant, but it doesn't say anything like the same thing. So going on that alone, I explained why I was confused, maybe others were too? I was hoping to find some gem of information and if I had I would have shared it, but I didn't. Is there some bit of the White Paper that I missed or didn't understand? To be honest this is the first time I've heard of Bitland, which is unusual for me, this is not associated with Bitnation is it?
No, the issue was that there was no interest or response in anyone learning more about the MineCraft aspect so we never released any more information related to it.
We are NOT associated with Bitnation, however in 2014 Bitnation was involved.
Bitland was one of the first organizations in the space to talk about government compliance, and we have been shouted down and ostracized by people who were pushing anarchist rhetoric.
Now that governments and large organizations are getting involved in the space, Bitland is having a lot of our approaches taken and represented as if we did not go down that road years ago.
It is frustrating to say the least, but we are continuing to develop, so it's not really that bad.

Also, with how much organizations are taking ideas and presenting them without giving credit to the source, we decided to keep our next gamification plans completely under wraps.
No one is even remotely near what we are planning ;)
Cool! I can't wait for it. Upvoted & Followed.
This and Game Credits ar just the beginning!
The DGB will go up to 1$ for a six months?
I think the same...if this game has the amount of players it claims then this could make digibyte move much higher then it is now
It's a private server running DGB. Not official -Microsoft owned- Minecraft . This means that unless the DGB guys really pull a marketing miracle, the vast majority of Minecraft players will never hear about the DGB integration.
Disclaimer: despite this, I'm bull on the coin long term
