My First Experience With Steemit.com! Your Opinion Matters To Have Me Succeed!

I never believed in cryptocurrencies! Never thought that they will become this popular, as they are nowadays!

Their latest popularity, as it might happened to many, caught my attention too and I started to become very interested in them.

Actually, the main reason I started getting interested is the Steemit.com, more precisely a course that I bought, prepared by @jerrybanfield, who was explaining this new awesome platform.

In the course he explains what is a witness and seed server, where to get one, where to look up about how to set it up. At the end of it, he promises that he'd prepare a tutorial on how to fully set up them and get them running.

I started getting very interested and reading on that topic.

After watching some videos and reading some related articles (mostly on Steemit.com) I came to a conclusion that I should be waiting a little longer, before I set my first server.

Since, one of the main conditions to be successful directly depends on the number of followers, which will eventually upvote you. I have just started with the platform and have only a small number of followers, I don't think is a good idea to start immediately.

The maintenace of the server requires commitment, to have them running without interruption.

The Linux commands, in my understanding, won't be a problem, as I already have a little Linux knowledge, as well as a good IT/programming background (I am a Programming Engineer), but my main concern is my lack of experience on the topic.

Well, this is a short post of my current decision and opinion on having a witness server running.

It is not written to be informative, but rather to look for opinions. So, if you have any suggestion/comment please comment below.

Your opinion matters to me, as I am new to this platform and very eager to progress and contribute.

Hopefully, my next posts will be more informative and better structured. I will try to share all of my experiences with cryptocurrencies and Steemit.com and maybe one day become one of the top steemers :)!
