Github 1 year activity charts for 900+ cryptos
Just wanted to quickly share with you all that we've introduced GitHub activity and community metrics tracking on https://coincheckup.com/analysis/github this past weekend.
You can sort and filter 900+ crypto projects based on market cap, total commits for the past year, number of stars, subscribers or forks, as well as make use of our screener (multi-criteria filters for fundamentals, scores, or market & trading metrics).
All in all we consider it could prove helpful to see how active crypto projects are over time.
We'd be happy to hear your thoughts and feedback, as well as your favorite cryptos based on GitHub activity.

This is a nice metric. We will look at incorporating this into a potential variable that influences the value of blockchain assets. Some of the variables currently considered were presented here btw:

This is very elaborate and well thought out. Definitely better than simply tryign to deivine vlaue based solely on price charts. I'll be recommending this to anyone who is looking for some more fundamental analysis.
Consider adding daily adoption rate, if the info is available. For many coins this can be derived from the blockchain. Based on network effects models, we found here that this is the best dynamic correlating metric for succeeding growth of the end user assets.

Since many of these assets are end user assets - this measure can be like a dynamic scoring within the "Coin Strength" section, so it will also alert when the asset is growing or provide warning signs when it is waning. It can be used in moving average form like averaged over 30 days and updated monthly.

Definitely a good resource to see how active the communities of these assets are. Particularly some of the upcoming assets that are making large bets in improving upon established names like ETH and BTC. There has been some discussion of potential correlation between the number of commits and price but I think data is still limited given some short timelines and experience. Thanks for the information!
