How Crypto gambling has ruined my life!

in #cryptocurrency3 years ago

Hello all,

I am new to the Steemit world, but as i look around i see a community for me with differnet people from all over the world. I just turned 29, and i have always been an avid gambler. Whether cheating at the casino on the poker tables with a couple college friends, to lottery tickets praying for a big score, all the way to the new world of crypro-gaming. Last year i came across a crash-graph game called Bustabit, that allows you to gamble whatever amount of bitcoin on each roll. The object is to cash-out before the game crashes because when it crashes you lose leaving you with no bitcoin earned.

I found myself really profiting the first few times i played after i bought in for about 40 USD worth of bitcoin, and i cashed out for 2000 USD the second time i played. This is how my problem began because in most of our worlds, thats a pretty nice return and i felt like i had the skill to get the hang of the game. I did well a few more times, but with anything that is gambling, the house always wins. In my case, i have now lost almost 13000 USD worth of bitcoin from my savings chasing another big win. I even have been finding myself depositing all of my paycheck so i can just try to hit it big. My wife of seven years wouldnt even talk to me for our seven year anniversary this weekend, and it has been hitting me pretty hard. Just when i realized i had a problem gambling because im out of money the day after payday, i find out that i may be losing even more in the end.

Please take caution when you find yourself getting ahead in the very lucrative world that we enjoy. Cryptocurrency trading is a way of gambling as well, and i only wanted a vast amount of money for me and my wife to enjoy together. It will never matter if i lose her and am left without a penny because i didnt take time to enjoy the small things along the way.

Thanks for listening to me rant
