🔴Google is Banning Cryptocurrencies🚫🚫 🚫(not another ban...)

Why Google is banning crypto:

Now this is not a complete ban of crypto from the entirety of google, but this is a crack down on crypto advertisements from google.  With a recent influx in crypto ads from large companies like Facebook, it has become apparent that google is following in these tracks. However, in a way this makes sense, as there are a lot of crypto ads that have been known to lead to hacks. I've done a post on this in the past, but these hackers/scammers are able to make these perfect ads through google that people fall through, and lose all their money. The misuse of google as a platform for crypto is leading to some serious consequences.

Effective immediately in this coming June, no ICO's, cryptos, or legit company will be allowed to promote crypto. Of course they can always amend their terms on which we are allowed to advertise, but as the direction of the decentralized movement has remained hidden recently, it will not be soon. Maybe, when the government brings more regulation into crypto, and the crypto scam rates have gone way down, google will feel the confidence to allow advertising again. With that being said, I will update you guys on any further notices from google in future posts. Peace out steemians!

I personally think it is a good thing for a few reasons.

  1. It stops the ICOs with the biggest budget simply steamrolling great innovative projects. Any website can get clicks and views if they have a huge marketing budget for Google Adwords.

  2. It forces ICOs to think outside of the box and reach their communities in other ways, platforms like Crowdholding will be the future, as no longer will they be able to just spam people to come to their site, but will have to engage them through co-creation.

  3. It gives more power to bounties, people will spread the word of the ICO that has either got the best bounty campaign or a project they believe in. Although bounties can be manipulated by offering large sums, it is still better than google Adwords.

The only thing I don't like is that Google is clearly trying to strangle crypto. It's just underhand tactics to break the price, so they can invest into it or scare off users of crypto.

Upvoted for a great article, keep up the good work!

Great comment! I totally agree with your opinion in this case. ICO's are now being forced to actually be good, not just a good whitepaper.

Great article, upvoted.
