The TAP App & Card - A new way into Crypto

Difficulties that face new investors in the cryptocurrency market

Cryptocurrency is a vast and thoroughly interesting subject, it can also be complex for beginners to get their heads around. Newbies often struggle to understand the basics and it can be very tough to get to grips with purchasing and trading different coins and tokens. This, unfortunately, puts off a lot of people and many investors only get involved in crypto if they know a friend that has invested before them and can show them the ways.

In my opinion, along with falling market prices, this is one of the main reasons why we have seen interest in crypto wane over the past year. After successfully finding an app or website that allows an individual to purchase crypto (e.g. Coinbase), it can take a long time for an investor to sign up, verify an account and get approved to purchase the amount that the investor wants. This difficulty coupled with slow transaction times and a lack of customer support can make the whole task very laborious and ultimately off-putting.

I've always thought that there should be an easier way for beginners to buy crypto, I've looked into P2P websites and services like Localbitcoins and LocalEthereum that are great because there are fewer restrictions and a wider range of payment options. However, I will admit, if someone isn't familiar with cryptocurrency and how Bitcoin/Ethereum transactions work then they are going to struggle to purchase crypto in this manner. They are not the safest of websites because there are a lot of scammers that operate on these channels, the P2P platforms also have a lot less volume and investors will not get their orders filled immediately or potentially not get the trade at the price they require.

This is where I think the TAP app & card really comes into its own. The TAP team hope to implement the API's for popular platforms like Binance and Kraken, it will be a user-friendly app and it will be clear to see which exchange is offering the most competitive price at the time the investor would like to make the trade. 3-second trade confirmation speeds will also give new investors an increased peace of mind that they will struggle to find on other exchanges.
