Biggest Wins/Losses in crypto coins.


WIN/Lose - Satoshi Nakamoto - Founder of Bitcoin, it's rumoured since he created Bitcoin he has 1 million Bitcoin worth $2.8 billion USD. (2017). These coins have never been seen or used since.

Lose -  On May 22, 2010, a developer called Laszlo Hanyecz bought 2 Papa Johns pizza using 10,000 Bitcoins, $40 at the time. Today, 10,000 bitcoins are worth more than $20 million. It was known as 'the first ever Bitcoin transaction'.

WIN - The top wallet on bitinfocharts shows no.1 having 124,178 Bitcoins at a value of $315,258,248. Thats 0.7579% of all Bitcoin so far mined (2017).

Lose -  Welsh IT worker James Howells famously lost 7,500 Bitcoins in 2013 when he accidentally threw out an old hard disk containing his private key. It is reportedly under thousands of tonnes of landfill at a waste recycling centre in Pillgwenlly, Newport, Wales. Today those coins would be worth £4.6 million. 

Lose -  Campbell Simpson, editor of technology website Gizmodo Australia, says he missed out on incredible riches because he jettisoned a piece hardware containing 1400 Bitcoins. Seven years later, the digital market for Bitcoin skyrocketed and Mr Simpson's seemingly insignificant internet cash, which he bought for $25, is now worth millions of dollars.
