Thailand wants Cryptos
There is a reason for optimism as long as the Thai legislator intends not to ban the technology, but to regulate it. Nevertheless, all fears remain legitimate, according to Veerathai Santiprabhob, Governor of the Central Bank of Thailand, all the banks of the country asked to stay away from cryptocurrency.
"Digital values are new to everyone, so all parties should be open-minded, learn about them."
Law 1: Deanonymization
- The first law is also known as the Digital Asset Business Act. It requires that all crypto transactions, including those involved in the Digital Asset Exchanges, brokers and traders, be required to be registered by the competent authorities once the draft has been finally approved by the Cabinet.
Law 2: Taxes
- The second law is essentially the revision of the country's revenue code to introduce taxation of digital assets. In essence, the document imposes a capital gains tax on investment profits and benefits on crypto fees to the tax collection agency. The Cabinet will be taking into account the exact tax rates on capital gains tax this week, and the cap will be set at 15 percent.
