Exciting developments are underway. One has happened today and that is the Zap wallet working on mainnet and it cost 0 fee. Many further developments were mentioned in yesterday's interview with Litecoin founder, Charlie Lee. Expect some great releases.

Smart contract developments

These are the projects underway already:

Omni: token development on Litecoin

Smart crypto wallet: smart contracts

Colored coins: smart contracts

These are all work in progress.

Latest developments

Lightning network wallet is undergoing testing. *Technical stuff: LND lightning wallet is on a new Zap wallet.

Cross chain atomic swap. Seamless swap from Bitcoin to Litecoin. Node's do a job of swapping, they cannot steal coins. The big deal is that easy conversion between cryptocurrency so purchasing a product means you can send your Bitcoin and Lightning network will convert it for you.

Litecoin price

Litecoin is being really pumped by mainstream media. This could cause crashes of 80-90%. This is not good for the coin. As it loses newbies lots of money

Bcash is being held up by a cartel

Talks of Bitcash going to hard fork. Credibility of B Cash is unstable. Miners jumping in and out of Bcash. Although there are Bcash miners are carrying on mining at a loss.

Scams

Some other stuff about gpu minable coins that are just hyped. Money making coins that are mixing friendly fork with an ICO. Charlie considers Bitcoin gold as a speculative scam.

Segwit 2x

NYA is making people stick to the agreement to follow through with the hardfork for bigger blocks , but since B Cash fork, the NYA agreement falls and becomes null and void.

Confusing

If Bitcoin fotks again, it's going to get confusing. It's confusing enough with Bitcoin Cash. It's nice to get free money from forks but damage of confusion more problematic.

Safe hard fork

Should be carried out in a year or two. Segwit will surfice, rather than rushing into a hard fork in a few months time.

Is Litecoin working with other alt coins?

Not at the moment. But possible in the future

Lightning network hub

Big exchanges will act as Lightning network exchanges. Exchanges like Coinbase will run lightning on Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Could Litecoin fork

Yes it's possible, but if the coins listening to community and doing a good job, not a problem.

Presenter

The presenter annoyingly really trys to pump bitcoin Gold, Charlie says "I don't care about that, it doesn't really matter from what point in time they fork"

Charlie's portfolio

Charlie holds:
Bitcoin
Litecoin
Ethereum classic
Decred
& Monero
