Thoughts of a Crypto Noob #5 Yay, It's Going Up!
Hey all, wow..things are starting to wake up in the crypto sphere once again.... but will it last? How is everyone feeling? Optimistic? I hope so!
After deleting Blockfolio a couple months ago today I finally re-installed it. I had to do it because I was checking it every 10 minutes. I have to say this kind of reminds me of when the market started going up in November. The marketcap is sitting at 433 billion at the time of writing this. My crypto dreams are slowly starting to reemerge in my head. I don't have lambo dreams like most crypto enthusiasts. A new home with a lot of land (but still close enough to the city for when I want to go out), a huge garden.... enough money in the bank that we would be financially secure. Ahhhh doesn't that sound good?
But honestly, I am kind of grateful for the bear market that started mid January. It brought me a back down to reality a bit. If there is a correction (which I am already guessing will happen) I won't freak out as easily as I did last time. I know it sounds cliche but maybe what they say is true, these things make you stronger. I am a holder, and I will always be. I pick a project and I will hold until I reach my target price. The money is dead to me until it does...if it does.
It makes it much simpler to do it this way. I have invested a sizable amount but its not enough to get me to sell in a panic. Sure I might not make as much as others if my cryptos moon, but that's ok.

Binance Announces Dust Conversion to BNB Option
I do have small amounts of dust from some trades so I was quite happy to see this article posted today on Facebook (yes I have to use Facebook for work, so I am on it still.) You can read the article here.
Note: Binance will only allow you to convert amounts less that 0.001 BTC worth. This also only works on the website, not on the mobile app. (I only use the website anyways)
EOS June Deadline is Approaching
...and no I still have not registered my EOS tokens. I know...I know... I have them on my Ledger and I have been reading about how to do it but I feel nervous even at the thought of doing it and messing up! My future Brother-in-law has offered to sit down with me and do it together so I will do it some time this week. I am the kind of person that will put off the most mundane thing ever for months because I work myself up over it. Anxiety sucks!
My Friends Are Coming Out of the Woodwork Again to Talk About Crypto
I think that you can really tell when the tides are turning with crypto. I am seeing more positive articles about crypto being shared and some of my friends have started asking about it again. I have told them that the time to invest was a couple weeks ago, but of course most people don't want to invest when the market is in the dumps, they wait until the prices are climbing. The two people that asked me haven't bought crypto ever so if they follow up with me I will sit them down and walk them through the process.
It's important for all of us to be kind and patient with the newer crypto enthusiasts. We are their first impression in this space and we should all take the time to answer their questions about how blockchain tech works in a way they will understand without sounding patronizing.
Soooo... do you think its straight to the moon from here? Or do you see a correction happening instead? With the price of STEEM going up are you become more active on Steemit again? I hope to get back to my daily postings soon. To the moon! Steem on! Emily
I don't expect it to be any different from tradition markets. Periods of growth followed by slightly shorter periods of down. Just gotta ride it out!
this is a fun market but I never bought any EOS when it was in the $6 range so I'm bumbing. I have none. But, steem is chugging along so I shouldn't be too upset. (well, I kinda am lol)
I bought EOS really high so I am now in the green on it...finally lol! Crypto is full of regret, its never ending fomo..if you did buy EOS you'd be feeling this way about another coin. My friend was begging me to buy Populous at $2. $2!!!!!!!!!!!! and I didn't listen to him. HE BEGGED ME. I hate looking at its price everyday lol
Ah I wish I had have bought more steem when you said it was a good time to buy! But I am still here on Steemit. Funny, been wondering where you were and you popped up in feed 🌟
Next best time to buy...is now..haha. Seriously though, wait for a small correction and buy a little. I still plan on buying when I have more money this week :) Buying a little bit is better than not buying any at all. What if Steem goes to $50? I know it seems impossible, but people said the same thing about ETH or NEO.

It feels good when you see crypto price is going up. It will positively impact on everything.
We learn from experience. We have to be optimistic when the price is low. When price is low, it gives us a golden opportunity to invest.

We all can dream of becoming financially independent but there are lots of factors involved. How much money did we invest, do we have a sale plan and so on. I only invested a small amount of fiat money. Okay, to be honest a little more than a small investment. I never have invested so much into something. But, while I do hope on a profit, I don't think that it will make me financially independent!
It is indeed strange, to see at work that people are talking again about their cryptos, while they were silent about it for the past 3 months!

I am so glad things went up, although they appear to be drifting back downward again. I am guessing there will be another bear run as we close in on the regulations/G20 meeting in July. I am ready to buy at that time :D
Great news on Binance. I figured it was a scam they were going to keep running as I imagine those crumbs have added up to quite a lot of dead money on their exchange. Guessing they figured it was smarter to let us have it so we can rack up more transaction fees, lol.
