How to transfer your funds out of Cryptopia quickly before the Feb 9th bank closure
A friend wrote this because so many people are wondering how to get out of Cryptopia since the NZ bank is closing their account
THANKS CRYPTOPIA FOR MAKING ALL OF US SICK TO OUR STOMACH AGAIN WORRYING ABOUT LOSING OUR MONEY AGAIN…………..! WHY DON’T YOU EVER ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS LIKE YOU PROMISE?
“EVERYBODY BAIL NOW. HERE IS HOW TO DO THAT FAST AND SAFE”
LOOK, this isn't quite as difficult as it seems. Here is what I do in my daily trading and transferring. This method works every time and all the time. No days of waiting for money that will never come. I haven’t lost a single coin with the method below.
1.) FYI, I opened an US exchange account expecting this event. Poloniex Exchange to be exact. Seems to be a very user friendly exchange and it is in the USA. Have no communication with these people nor do I gain a penny from this information. Just hate to see all you go through the frustrations I have go through. This business is fun, the process destroys that. Nobody seems to know much of anything when it comes to Buy, Sell or Transferring.
HERE IS WHAT I DO TO TRANSFER OUT COINS FROM CRYPTOPIA WITHOUT ISSUES.
2.) Enter my new Poloniex account site to the main page and opened "Deposits Withdrawals". I then click on the “Deposit” word. Scroll down in the little search box that has the magnifying glass, I click on the desired matching coin I am concerned with, "same exact 3,4 or 5 letter name as the Cryptopia market coin I want to send out or transfer to Poloniex.” DO NOT CLICK ON THE “Withdrawal” and copy and use that address in POLONIEX. YOUR COINS WILL BE LOST…………………! Only click and copy the “deposit” link in Poloniex.
3.) I copy by using the "Control C" keys, that long string of numbers and letters which is the address your coins are going to be transferred too". This is the account number where the funds will arrive at from Cryptopia.
3.) I go back to the Cryptopia site at this point. I go into my "Balances" top right of the main screen by my name. Find the market coin that is the same as I just looked up in Poloniex. Click on the little burgundy colored widget with the arrow pointing up beside my desired coin name. The little widget is "withdrawal".
4.) Moving to you now and away from me. Don't freak out at the next screen . It is not well explained but here is what you do.
Click on the empty long box directly below the box that has written in it "You have no address entries for "XXXX" is where you will paste "Control V" or type in the address you just copied in Poloniex . (Make sure your in Cryptopia Balances) and working with the correct coin.
Be sober and concentrate when you do this, okay!
5.) Next, below in the bottom box put in your pin if asked and click continue. A confirmation will be sent to the email on file that you must approve. Nothing happens till you do that so make sure you have your email open and or your smart phone. If you don’t see it, look in the junk mail etc. It will be there. This happens in seconds. After a couple minutes go to Poloniex and click on open orders and you will see that your coins are on the way. About 20 minutes later you will have successfully moved your coins to Poloniex. Longest time this will take is 1 hour max. People that wait days for a transfer never receive it. There fun is over. They did not follow instructions. Can’t fix stupid………….
For the sake of your sanity just transfer 10 bucks worth to test that you are doing this as instructed. I can’t help you if lose your coins.
Don’t scream because Poloniex doesn’t support the coins you want to move.
Do this if that happens;
1.) Open the "Markets" tab in Cryptopia, go into markets, scroll down to your coin click on it and go to the “sell” section when the new screen opens. Right side of the screen under the chart.. Fill in the box for the total number of your "available balance" on that coin. Hit “Sell”! Your coin will not disappear, they will go back into your balances and you will see it as a "Bitcoin" balance. Note in Cryptopia if you do not sell all the coins any small balance is lost. You can’t even click on them after. Must have more than .0005 of a Bitcoin in value or that coin account is bunked. Next, go back to "markets" still in Cryptopia scroll down to LTC/BTC and click. FYI, Litecoinis what I use as a transfer coin since everybody takes it and it is faster to move than Bitcoin. Make sure you are in the BTC market or you may lose everything. Not sure on that but I never sway from what works. Go to the “sell”box and fill it in. Buy max "LTC/BTC" that is available to you from the sale of your coins. Next, go to and open “Cryptopia Balances” top right of the main page screen by your name. Find the LTC/BTC coins from your list . Click on the little burgundy colored widget with the arrow pointing up beside LTC/BTC coin name. The little widget is "withdrawal". Withdraw all of your coins by filling in the amount box. Go to Poloniex and copy the “Deposit” address for LTC/BTC and paste or type it in the deposit address box in Cryptopia that you still have open. Hit continue and don’t forget to approve the email notification. Hit “Done “.
You’re done. Send me a penny for the info.
Bank moves to close cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia's New Zealand dollar trading accounts are bad news for Kiwi investors.
The exchange said that its bank had told it that it would close the accounts for its New Zealand dollar-tethered currency (NZDT) on February 9.
NZDT is used by New Zealand traders as a way into, and out of, cryptocurrencies on Cryptopia. It represents about 2 per cent of the trading on the platform.
Cryptopia has stopped accepting deposits into NZDT and customers who want to withdraw their funds will need to do so by February 9, unless another banking solution is found within that time. The exchange is also offering a competitive market rate to allow users holding NZDT to convert it to bitcoin.
"Due to the extremely short notice from the bank (and little opportunity to present our case and provide compliance documentation to demonstrate our commitment to the applicable regulations), we believe this is the best course of action to protect our users. While we are working hard to secure alternative banking services, we have to prepare for the possibility that there may be a period of time between this closure and being able to provide these services again in future," Cryptopia said in an update.
Users will still be able to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on other providers' platforms and then trade those currencies across Cryptopia.
I hated Cryptopia, they charged 0.001 BTC just to transfer out, what a rip! They also sold a lot of questionable coins. The news of them closing never reached me, so I owe you thanks. Fortunately last week I transferred out to Poloniex. . . but Poloniex sucks too! It hasn't let you transfer Steem all week!
Sucks to look back and see that pulling out of Cryptopia was a mistake don't it? I'm a little prejudiced cause I've put some of my crypto into those CEFS but paying all those network fees to transfer your coins must burn.
