First look at BlockCat v0.1.0 (alpha)

Let's look at BlockCat's freshly announced first application's version (to be specific v0.1.0 (alpha)). By first glance we can already see that its interface looks really transparent and clean.

The only way right now to deploy contracts in this version is by using Metamask wallet. Blockcat's team claims that in the future their application will support more than that.

When we go by "Smart Contracts" option we can see several services. Most of them in Payment section are locked. But we shouldn't be so harsh to complain about that. Don't forget that we are dealing with newly released alpha version.

Contract named as "Security Deposit" is only given to us for testing purposes and is restricted to 0.1 ETH per deposit. Although let's move to its task. This option is giving us possibility to manage multiple deposits paid by our custumers. Each one of them is sepereted and visible in the database.

You have the options to claim or refund the deposit. Once the contract has been deployed, you will get a link for customers. When they will click on it, they will be able to see the amount required for the deposit and send if they accept it send funds to the contract.

Another available option is "Hodl" which let's us lock up our ETH for the chosen amount of time. Eric, BlockCat's CEO, stated on their Discord channel that there is no way to withdraw it before the indicated date (even they couldn't do it).

Hope you get some first impretion. I really like where BlockCat is going and it's makes me even more pleased to look at thier great work because I'm their investor from the begining of the sale.
