Which Coins To Invest For Upcoming 2018
Hello dear Investors!
18th September,
These are my selection of crypto coins, which I think could go up, atleast 5 to 10 times in the upcoming months.
For my selection I looked whether there are real use cases, or if there is a promising (working) proto type. I also look at the developers. Because I think the best investment are in working products, which have a great team behind them.
There is no specific ranking in my selection, they all could boom any moment in my opinion. However I do think some have better future perspectives.
Lets get into it :)
1. TenX, Monaco, Tokencard
The first companies I have chosen have the same goal: making crypto spendable in the real world. As many crypto holders, including myself, would like to be able to use their crypto for daily purchases, these companies have attracted a lot of attention.
The concept is that you can deposit various crypto coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum in a mobile wallet. The mobile wallet is connect to physical card (which looks your credit card). When you make a purchase in a store, you just need to take out your mobile phone. Choose the desired crypto currency in the app and then swipe the card, like you would normally do.
Tenx is the most popular of the three, because their product seems to be ready for the mass. They are claiming to already process 100.000 transactions a month (more info). On their site they have a video of actually paying with TenX card in real time, which looks promising.
The other two are still in development and have promised to be operational somewhere before 2018.
At the moment TenX leads with 225 million in market cap. The other two: Monaco 78 million, TokenCard 38 billion. The last two have attracted less investors, because there is uncertainty about their operationality.
Recently, Monaco did not deliver their promise to get verified by Visa, which caused a huge price drop. TokenCard claims to already have established ties with Visa, however it is still very vague.
If these companies succeed I am sure they will have huge price increases. Tokencard and Monaco could go higher than 10x, because they are cheaper now.
Which one will be succesful, we will see in time. To be safe you could spread your money over these three. But I advise you guys to keep up with their developments to make a better choice.
2. Voxels
- 12 million market cap
- $0.058
I could see this one sky rocket somewhere in 2018. Voxels is set up to be the first Virtual Reality gaming cryptocurrency. The game behind Voxels is called Voxelus. It has caught the attention of investor, Halsey Minor who has invested and created many succesful (billion dollar) companies. According to wiki he is the founder of https://www.cnet.com/, which ranks 148 of the most popular websites in the world!!
The game Voxels is really a game of the future. It is a platform which allows people to design virtual reality games without having to know coding! Players can sell their creations or give them out for free on the Voxelus marketplace.
A video of how the game looks:
I think the game could be very huge, because it has the concept as Minecraf, which was sold for 2.5 Billion to Microsoft in 2014. Similar to Minecraft, Voxelus allow people not only to create maps, but also play in them with their friends. The multi-player aspect of the game is in my opinion the golden factor which will allow this game to gain fast popularity among gamers.
At a 12 million market cap at the moment I think Voxels is heavily undervalued. The game is not fully operational yet, however as we can see on their site, there are already people building worlds on the platform and they are playable in a beta version on mobile app (I haven't tested it).
I am positive Voxels could go up at least 5x when the platform is launched. However this could be early or mid 2018.
3. True Flip
- 5 million market cap
- $0.79
This is the first working crypto lottery. True Flip is just available on the market since 25 august. The reason I chose this coin is because I think online gambling sites build on public blockchains have the potential to replace traditional ones, because of the transparency blockchain offers.
Many casinos are cheating gamblers by keeping their algorithms secret. On the blockchain everybody can see the codes of the gambling software.
I always try to find out of gambling application are legit. I am wary of claims of " you have an x amount of chance of winning". As I am not a coder I can't investigate their blockchain codes, and I have tried to find an online review. If you are a techie I invite you to look at their codes.
However, I have looked at their team and they seem very open and hard working to gain trust of their customers. This is their Facebook page.
At the beginning there were problems of hackers attacking their site by exploiting their "tell a friend" reward system. The hackers made multiple accounts. As a result, withdraws were frozen temporary and till the team manually verified accounts.
There have been a lot of complains and even some claimed True Flip was a scam. Some post here and here. They all have been resolved by the team. To me the customer supports seem to be very decent as they actively try to resolve issues of their customers.
They even have their own Steemit page @trueflip and also solved an issue posted by this steemit user.
Given their activities they might even respond to this post. Hi @trueflip team!
The most popular gambling currency is now Edgeless, which is valued at 88 million at the moment, while it isn't operational. I believe Trueflip (5 million market cap) could atleast rise to 20 million market cap.
3. BlockCAT
- 5.9 million market cap
- 0.80 Dollars
At last is BlockCAT. For this analysis, I quoted some parts of the article of Medium user, Priyabrata Dash.
The purpose of Blockcat is simple, it is to enable every one to create smart contracts without having to know coding. The problem now with smart contracts is:
Smart Contracts come with their own barriers to mass adoption:
- Smart contracts must be written by programmers, making them accessible to few potential users and not to non-coders.
- Only those familiar with the Solidity language can interpret them, making it difficult to reach agreement with any nontechnical party.
- Smart contracts can contain bugs, which may result in the loss of assets. A bug-free smart contract would have prevented this hack from ever occurring.
I am 99.9% sure that the first company who manage to make smart contracts accesible for the consumer, will be a billion dollar company. Therefore, I believe we could see BlockCAT sky rocket if they can produce.
I have to apologize to you guys for not following my selection critera on this one. At the moment BlockCat is still a concept and information about their team is limited. However I could find the Linkedin of the CEO, which seems legit.
BlockCat is a fresh projects and is since 24 August on the market. I am speculating that this coin could go up atleast 5 times in the upcoming months.
Hindsight
As the crypto market is still in development phase at the moment, and the future is still uncertain, I can't give good choices of long-term investments (no one can), as I would like to. I believe there a good coins to hold longterm, however they are too expensive now, which is why I left them out for my list. However, each of these coins could have the potential to be long-term investments.
A random pool to motivate us :P

Nice article. Am also excited about the card projects and Blockcat. Will look into True Flip as well.
Thank you @chhaylin :)
Thanks @futurethinker! I'll read more about them 😉
Thank you @dewdrop !
Liked your pictures btw :)
😍
About true flip. I think there is a coin that actually have the same purpose like that, that is connected to E sports... Its still an ICO though. But I agree with the card coins like MCO tenx and the other one that I do not know the name...
and the block cat, its a user friendly user of neo and eth, that one is interesting. BUt I think we will have problems if many people can access in making smart contracts... Ill watch black cat more closely...
Ok tell me if you remember the name!
And BlockCAT wants to programn smart contracts, so that users can set up smart contracts without having bugs etc. I think that's very useful, for business.
but people might abuse black cat for scams, there are a lot of ICO scams already, what more if its a lot more accessible?
You came with the coin picks! Feeling inspired because I've already heard good things about Monaco at least, although the Visa thing is news to me.
Definitely going to all of them a look, but have you heard anything on the card that Floyd Mayweather is behind? The name escapes me, but I can message you later.
also, do you mind putting out an article on how one could start purchasing several coins too? I know the question's on my mind.
Ofcourse u think I was lying ;) @thatkidsblack
I am up for all blog requests. Uhmm what do you mean? Do you want me to make tutorials on how to purchase them, like on which exchanges?
Or do you mean how to make your portfolio (how many crypto coins you should buy and how to spread your risks?). Those things I could do.
I think it could be somehow insightful to see how I spread my investments.
U can also message me on steemit.chat @thatkidsblack
I'm gonna message you while I'm in class, and a tutorial on how to purchase them more, because I don't want to mess up and it could all be a quick guide to cryptos. I'm going to post an article soon too I think, mostly an opinion one, but your info always helps too.
I can help you one on one, but im not posting tutorials about where to buy crypto.
That is not what my blog is about :P
Besides, there are a lot of good guides out there :)
Message me anytime @thatkidsblack
don't forget Steem :P
It is common knowledge that Steem is the best investment ;)
Dont need to include that ^^
thanks for the info, but i got a question. how does one invest in these startups? ive never hurd of any of them before. where can I find said companies to do some more homework on them and potentially invest?
thanks
Thank you for reading @nabes :)
I just look them up on coinmarket https://coinmarketcap.com/ or I keep up with the new ICO's on https://tokenmarket.net/ico-calendar. :)
But there are more ways. Sometimes I see new companies in my news feed.
Ic, thanks. Im a bit behind on this crypto stuff its so damn confusing alotta the time, i wish they had it in laymans terms. in that TenX video, what kinda wallet is he using there do you know? seems like everything is going digital and im not ready for it. Im an old soul stuck in a young body, and I dont get this digital era!
Hahaha yes It's time for the new age!!
U can message me on https://steemit.chat/
I am glad to help you there :)
TenX uses their own wallet. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.onebit.app
But it hasn't been released yet :(
