Wow, you have certainly put a lot of effort in this. Amazing job on organizing all the information in one place and making it easy for someone new to be able to understand all this. I actually learned a lot of things from reading this.

I had no idea the the market cap was the average cost * the total supply. I always thought the market capitalization meant the amount of money invested in the pool divided by the supply. That's insane that it's the other way around! So if I go tomorrow and purchase a bunch of bitcoins for 100,000 each, the price of bitcoin will skyrocket...

Yes that's right and if you think about it, then you understand that you wouldn't need another 40 billion in Bitcoin to double it's market cap. In fact, the order books are so thin, even if you would just buy Bitcoins with 4 Billion Dollar in a burst, it would totally moon! That's also the reason why institutional investors can't jump into Bitcoin... The slippage on the markets are too high (:
